5 Ways To Save Time On Your Diet

Staying on track with your macros, workouts, H2O, etc. is definitely easier said than done! However, we all have the same 24 hours in a day and being busy is not an excuse. Here are the top 5 rev-approved tips for making the most out of your day in order to stay on track and keep those results coming!

 

  1. Plan ahead!

“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”. Truer words have never been spoken! Planning out your meals and workouts to work with your busy schedule makes a humongous difference in terms of time management. Plug in your food ahead of time in your food tracking app, and if it changes, adapt your plan as you see fit in order to meet your daily macronutrient requirements. If that means taking the time to do each day on Sunday or even the morning that you wake up, so be it. Packing your meals ahead of time so you can just grab them and go is also a phenomenal way to ensure that your time is being utilized efficiently.

 

  1. Meal prep in bulk

Meal prep can save you a lot of time and money, and who doesn’t want that? Take a few hours on Sunday or whatever day you have off to prepare some basics: lean proteins, veggies, grains, etc. Keep them plain and they’ll serve as a blank canvas for you to “decorate” with herbs, spices, sauces, etc.

 

  1. Embrace the gallon jug

If you have trouble getting all of your water in, an excellent strategy to help you with that is to drink out of a gallon jug rather than little water bottles. People often think that this is super weird and only bodybuilders do it, but the truth is it’s much easier to see your progress in terms of water drank if you’re only drinking from one container. You don’t need to drink the entire gallon, but it’s much easier to track your water this way. Also, you could use the water tracking function in myfitnesspal.

 

  1. Set reminders

If planning ahead isn’t your strong point, make it a point to set reminders on your phone to help you remember what you need to do each day/each week to stay on track. You’ll find the reminders quite helpful, and then once you get in a routine, it’ll come naturally to you.

 

  1. Sleep in your workout clothes

If you’re a morning gym rat and don’t have an issue with excessive sweating during the nights, try this tip! It makes it so all you need to do is put on socks and sneakers, brush your teeth, eat something and run out the door to crush that workout.
